Greetings and Salutations,
Yesterday we larks descended into a crypt for some demo-lition.
Exactly what we did and why shall have to remain a veiled secret for a few more days, but we’ll HAPPILY be releasing the tricks from our sleeves soon…
The crypt is a space normally used by some musician pals of ours in a secret location in Yorkshire, they have kindly let us creep in to get some new ideas together. The previous occupant was a Sunday School so there are plenty of children’s handprints and mildly terrifying murals to keep us on our toes. Oh and the founder of the church is entombed in an alcove about four feet behind Nestor’s drum stool.
Today’s soundtrack was unfortunately a little less enjoyable, as it most memorably consisted of the unholy crack of a wisdom tooth being removed from my dental ensemble. Ouch.
Didn’t realise I was drooling blood until I was halfway down The Headrow in Leeds, god bless local anaesthetic.
I have been looking through the recent larkin archives (lark-ives?) to distract myself from both the pain and my hamster-cheeked appearance. The strange fruits of this labour can be viewed below. Enjoy this hastily (and woozily) assembled collection of visual Life Scraps from the last few months. It also includes a glimpes of our cryptology…
katie x
